Designed to be viewed from all angles, this artwork depicts children of various ages experiencing the job of reading.
Installed in August 1997, this artwork was funded entirely by ELF Fundraising. It was the first art commissioned by the Foundation for the new library facility which opened in 1996.
Using Lloyd Baldwin, an ELF Board Member, as the model, "It was just like yesterday ...." depicts remembering the joys of reading and the world opened to everyone through books. It was dedicated in January 1999.
Installed in 2000, these statues greet visitors to the Euless Public Library.
