ELF Wants Your Books (and movies too!)Donate books, movies or music for our next book saleThe Euless Library Foundation ("ELF") is a volunteer organization. Each year we process thousands of items that are sold at our semi-annual book sales. Book sale income helps support Euless Public Library programs, such as the Summer Reading Club. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about donating items. When and where can I donate items for the sale? What kinds of items can I donate? What kinds of items are not accepted? Can I get a donation letter for tax purposes? I don't have items to donate, but I'd like to support ELF. How can I do that? When and where can I donate items for the sale?Books are accepted at the library whenever the library is open. If you have several boxes, please call ahead to make sure someone is there to receive your donations. If you have a large collection and need help, a volunteer may be able to pick up your donation. What kinds of items are not accepted?
The damaged items must be thrown away; magazines and Reader's Digest books do not sell well. Can I get a donation letter for tax purposes?Yes. The Euless Library Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. If you would like a donation receipt, ask the person who accepts your donation. The Foundation cannot place a value on your donation, but we can indicate that you donated items to ELF. I don't have items to donate, but I'd like to support ELF. How can I do that?Donations are accepted by ELF throughout the year or you can become a member of the Euless Library Foundation. Memberships are available for individuals, families and businesses for as little as $15 annually. For more details, visit our Membership page. |
